Welcome to our Impact Report 2025
Each year we share the work we have been doing to make a positive impact via Granville’s Wood. This report goes to the local council who are responsible for making sure we meet all our legal obligations.
This is a more attractive version, with the ‘highlights’. Families that make legacy additions to their nooks have a huge impact and this is our opportunity to share those brilliant contributions.
Why do we bother?
Firstly, we have an obligation to the Board and local council as mentioned above. Secondly, we enjoy reflecting on the past year and celebrating all the good things that have happened.
It’s important to look at what actions are successful and what my no longer be necessary. For example, there are a maximum number of owl boxes that can be added to our site. Owls like to have their own territory and we don’t sell items that we know won’t be of value.
Over time, these impact reports also build a useful, ongoing, picture of our business. It can be inspiring to see the longer term changes and developments that have been made. You can read more about our values here.
Partnerships
In addition to what we can achieve at Granville’s Wood, we work with partners to extend our impact even further. Our main collaboration with Ecologi. You can take a look at our Forest here. So far we have planted over 900 trees both in the UK and internationally.
Plans for 2026
Our Impact Report for 2025 is already started! We monitor throughout the year, planning for the maximum impact we can have. This year we are going to reach over 1,000 trees and introduce some new legacy additions to the woodland.
We’ve also re-started our Nature Book Club, which you are welcome to join. More information on that to come.
