It’s time for some Team News! We pride ourselves on the quality of the care and team work we have to run Woodland Burial Company. However, some people are surprised to know that the team is actually very small.
Recently, we welcomed the wonderful Beccy Edgar. This brings us up to four members of staff. Luckily, we also have a host of excellent sessional staff who help out during busy periods, on an adhoc basis, and several volunteers when restrictions allow.
Beccy will be our Funerals & Families Manager. This allows us to have a single point of contact, to support our families from their first enquiry, viewing and potential purchase. She will also lead on arranging funerals, Deed signing and booking visits.
Building relationships is a key part of our business, and we are looking forward to being able to begin our community events again very soon. More to come on that in our Summer Newsletter (sign up here!).
Joining us after qualifying as a Level 2 Funeral Arranger (with a Distinction), with several years experience in the field, Beccy has the mix of kindness and professionalism we have been looking for.
The team also includes; Andy (Taz) our Site Manager, taking care of the day to day management of Granville’s Wood. Claire our Business Manager, working behind the scenes on marketing, administrative systems and finances. Simon, our Director and Founder, is still very much involved, but can now concentrate on growing the business. That’s all our team news for now, but we hope to continue growing!
After the complexity of a global pandemic, we hope to move into new areas and continue sharing the important environmentally positive messages we are pioneering.
